Open Source Data Extraction Software Versus Paid Data Extraction Software

If you are looking for data extraction software chances are you have come across both paid software and free or open source software. Collaboration is very popular online today, and the open source movement has made many types of software and programs available for free to consumers. Open source programs are a great way to use the technology you need for free, however, sometimes without technological know-how using open source programs can be a hassle or even downright impossible.

Open source programs such as Open Office are extremely easy to use and offer a free alternative to more famous and costly word processing, graphic design, and spreadsheet programs. Some open source programs, such as data extraction programs, are not as user friendly, however. Users must know how to program the software to gather the information they want to collect and this task requires programming knowledge, something the average online business person probably doesn't have.

There are plenty of paid data extraction software options available, such as Mozenda, that are as easy to use as a word processing program or internet browser and will fit within most any budget.
